Productive integration

Your hours in Productive, on the right service

Okloq keeps track on your laptop of which project you are working on. After approval, the hours appear as time entries in Productive, on the service within the project's budget.

After approval

What ends up in Productive

  • A time entry on the right serviceThe service named after the type of work, a fixed service you specify, or the project's only service.
  • Non-billable stays non-billableA non-billable entry on a billable service gets zero billable time.

Setting up

What you need

  • Your organisation ID. It is shown when you create the API token.
  • An API token that may book hours for others.
  • In a team: colleagues with the same email address in Productive as in Okloq, or their person ID.

Okloq looks for the active project with the project number as its number or in its name. If the same service appears in two open budgets, you get a message instead of a guess.

We switch the integration on together with you and check the first day together in Productive.

How Okloq works

No clock to start, no hours to dig up

Okloq looks at which window is in front and recognises the project number in the window title, the file name or the subject of an email. Whether you are drawing, designing, writing code or preparing a quote: the time goes to the right project. At the end of the day a proposal is ready. You approve it, and only then do the hours go to Productive.

Which windows and files you had open stays encrypted on your laptop. Okloq does not read what you type and takes no screenshots. How it works

Good to know

Every time entry must belong to a project. Okloq runs on Windows 10 and 11; the Mac version is still in testing.

Questions about Productive

What you want to know before you start

Can hours arrive twice in Productive if something goes wrong?

No. If Productive is briefly unreachable, Okloq tries again later. Before each attempt, Okloq first checks whether the entry is already there.

Can earlier hours still be sent?

Yes. When switching on, you choose a date. Approved hours from that date onwards are still sent to Productive.

Does Productive see when I was actually working?

No. Software that wants a start and end time gets one continuous day from a start time you set yourself. When you were actually working stays on your laptop.

Has the Productive integration been tested?

The integration is built on the public API of Productive and tested against a simulated environment. We are now testing it on real data with our first users. That is why we always switch the integration on together with you and check the first day together.

What does the Productive integration cost?

We agree on that together. We set up the integration with you and test it on your own data. The PDF overview and the CSV file also work without an integration. Okloq's own prices are on the Pricing page.

Other integrations: Toggl Track · Clockify · Harvest · Scoro · Everhour · Teamleader Focus

Productive is a trademark of its owner. Okloq is not a partner of Productive and is not endorsed by them; we use the public integration options.
