Clockify integration
Clockify fills itself in, without anyone starting a timer
You keep Clockify, but nobody has to press start any more. Okloq measures on the laptop which project someone is working on. After approval, the hours appear as time entries in your workspace.
After approval
What ends up in Clockify
- A time entry with start and end timeOn the project with the project number in its name, in the right person's name.
- With your tagsThe type of work goes along as a tag, if that tag already exists in Clockify.
Setting up
What you need
- The ID of your workspace, from the address in your browser on the workspace settings.
- An API key. If you book for colleagues, use the key of a workspace admin.
Okloq looks for the project with the project number in its name. If you use the same number for several clients, you can let Okloq search within one client. Okloq finds colleagues by their email address.
We switch the integration on together with you and check the first day together in Clockify.
How Okloq works
No clock to start, no hours to dig up
Okloq looks at which window is in front and recognises the project number in the window title, the file name or the subject of an email. Whether you are drawing, designing, writing code or preparing a quote: the time goes to the right project. At the end of the day a proposal is ready. You approve it, and only then do the hours go to Clockify.
Which windows and files you had open stays encrypted on your laptop. Okloq does not read what you type and takes no screenshots. How it works
Good to know
Okloq does not create tags itself. An entry on a non-billable project does not become billable. Okloq runs on Windows 10 and 11; the Mac version is still in testing.
Questions about Clockify
What you want to know before you start
Can hours arrive twice in Clockify if something goes wrong?
No. If Clockify is briefly unreachable, Okloq tries again later. Before each attempt, Okloq first checks whether the entry is already there.
Can earlier hours still be sent?
Yes. When switching on, you choose a date. Approved hours from that date onwards are still sent to Clockify.
Does Clockify see when I was actually working?
No. Software that wants a start and end time gets one continuous day from a start time you set yourself. When you were actually working stays on your laptop.
Has the Clockify integration been tested?
The integration is built on the public API of Clockify and tested against a simulated environment. We are now testing it on real data with our first users. That is why we always switch the integration on together with you and check the first day together.
What does the Clockify integration cost?
We agree on that together. We set up the integration with you and test it on your own data. The PDF overview and the CSV file also work without an integration. Okloq's own prices are on the Pricing page.
Other integrations: Toggl Track · Harvest · Productive · Scoro · Everhour · Teamleader Focus
Clockify is a trademark of its owner. Okloq is not a partner of Clockify and is not endorsed by them; we use the public integration options.
