Okloq or TimeChimp?
TimeChimp is a Dutch package for hours, planning, expenses and invoices, in which you enter your hours with a timer or by hand. Okloq does less, but what it does, it does automatically: it recognises on your laptop which project you are working on and suggests your hours. Which one fits depends on what you are looking for.

The main differences
| Okloq | TimeChimp | |
|---|---|---|
| How hours are recorded | Automatically: Okloq recognises the project number in the window title, the file path or an email subject and suggests the day. You approve. | With a timer, by entering hours or through the phone app. Plus suggestions based on earlier hours and your calendar in Google or Outlook. |
| What stays on the laptop | Everything that was measured: windows, file names, email subjects. Encrypted, and deleted after thirty days. Only approved hours leave the laptop. | Hours and suggestions are processed in the cloud, on Microsoft Azure in Amsterdam. |
| What else it does | Budget per project, fixed price and extra work, PDF hours report. No planning or expenses. | Also expenses and mileage, approvals, quotes and invoices, and in the most expensive plan project and capacity planning. |
| Integrations | Moneybird, Exact Online, Simplicate, Gripp, Productive, Scoro, Teamleader Focus, e-Boekhouden, SnelStart, Jortt, Rompslomp and time tracking apps such as Toggl Track. | A long list, including Exact Online, Moneybird, Twinfield, AFAS, SnelStart, e-Boekhouden and Nmbrs. |
| Who is behind it | Constructim B.V. in Tilburg. Okloq is in beta. | A company from Amsterdam, part of Visma since late 2024. |
