Harvest integration
Your hours in Harvest, without a timer
Okloq keeps track on your laptop of which project you are working on. After approval, the hours appear as time entries in Harvest, on the project and task they belong to.
After approval
What ends up in Harvest
- A time entry on a taskOn the project with the project number as its code or in its name, on the task named after the type of work, or on a default task.
- With or without clock timesIf your Harvest tracks start and end times, entries get Okloq's fixed start times. Otherwise just a number of hours.
Setting up
What you need
- Your Harvest account ID. It is shown when you create the access token.
- A personal access token of an administrator or manager.
- Optionally a default task.
Okloq looks for the active project with the project number as its project code, otherwise as a separate word in its name. Okloq finds colleagues by their email address or their Harvest user ID.
We switch the integration on together with you and check the first day together in Harvest.
How Okloq works
No clock to start, no hours to dig up
Okloq looks at which window is in front and recognises the project number in the window title, the file name or the subject of an email. Whether you are drawing, designing, writing code or preparing a quote: the time goes to the right project. At the end of the day a proposal is ready. You approve it, and only then do the hours go to Harvest.
Which windows and files you had open stays encrypted on your laptop. Okloq does not read what you type and takes no screenshots. How it works
Good to know
Harvest needs a task for every entry. If the task is not assigned to the project and there is no default task, the entry waits. In Harvest, the project and task decide whether hours are billable. Okloq runs on Windows 10 and 11; the Mac version is still in testing.
Questions about Harvest
What you want to know before you start
Can hours arrive twice in Harvest if something goes wrong?
No. If Harvest is briefly unreachable, Okloq tries again later. Before each attempt, Okloq first checks whether the entry is already there.
Can earlier hours still be sent?
Yes. When switching on, you choose a date. Approved hours from that date onwards are still sent to Harvest.
Has the Harvest integration been tested?
The integration is built on the public API of Harvest and tested against a simulated environment. We are now testing it on real data with our first users. That is why we always switch the integration on together with you and check the first day together.
What does the Harvest integration cost?
We agree on that together. We set up the integration with you and test it on your own data. The PDF overview and the CSV file also work without an integration. Okloq's own prices are on the Pricing page.
Other integrations: Toggl Track · Clockify · Productive · Scoro · Everhour · Teamleader Focus
Harvest is a trademark of its owner. Okloq is not a partner of Harvest and is not endorsed by them; we use the public integration options.
